Loan Administrative Assistant
JOB TITLE: Loan Administrative Assistant
REPORTS TO: Location President
DEPARTMENT: Loan Administration
LOCATION: Sundance Square, Downtown Fort Worth
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting loan officers by servicing, maintaining and updating loan documentation and loan files. The position requires substantial interaction with new and current bank customers, both internal and external. This position also requires excellent customer service skills along with proactive communication abilities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to read, write, analyze and comprehend simple instructions, routine business correspondence, financial reports and/or legal documents
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations
- HS Diploma or equivalent is required
- Five years of progressive banking experience required, including loan administration; new account experience preferred
- Computer skills and MS Office programs
- Thorough understanding of the bank's operating systems
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Demonstrate the ability to be proactive in judgment, multi-task, and be punctual and timely in performing tasks, communication, customer service, time management, and critical thinking
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs loan functions to include:
a. providing credit application to customers
b. processing credit application
c. handling closing and funding of loans
d. ensuring all documents are processed correctly - Maintains loan documentation to include:
a. ensuring all documents are current and on file, including credit bureau, tax returns, insurance, and other required legal documents for all loans
b. credit search, lien searches, UCC filing, insurance requirements, all title work
c. clear and file all exceptions - Performs administrative duties for loan officers to include:
a. corresponding and faxing appropriate loan documentation
b. returning phone calls
c. greeting customers
d. assisting with non-post items and NSF's
e. review all loan documents - Provides (some of the following) bank services to include:
a. providing service to customers:
1. account balances
2. account print outs
3. processing transfers between accounts
4. wire transfers requests
5. notary services
6. stop payments
7. rate information
8. answering customer calls
9. making NSF decisions at officers instructions
b. cross-selling bank products and services
c. providing additional, or specialized (interim construction loan processing and funding), loan assistant duties
d. other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY DIMENSIONS: No supervisory responsibilities.
DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES: Day-to-day customer services issues and may be called on to make decisions regarding customer transactions.
